Spanish for Spanish Speakers 1

Spanish for Spanish Speakers

This course is for students whose home language is Spanish. This is a college preparatory elective course for grades 9-12 for Spanish speaking students. In Spanish for Spanish Speakers 1, students will develop their listening, reading, writing, and speaking skills. In addition to studying grammar, students will be introduced to art and literature of the Hispanic culture. Students will also develop their understanding of the ever changing socio-economic issues that impact Spanish speaking countries. In this course, students are expected to participate in various activities challenging their speaking, writing, and listening skills. Students are expected to collaborate with classmates to create, develop, and present assigned projects demonstrating comprehension of the language.
Prerequisite: Ability to understand and speak Spanish at native or near native speaker fluency.  


Programa de Español para Hispano-Hablantes

Este programa está diseñado para estudiantes cuya lengua materna es el español. Este es un curso electivo de preparación universitaria para los grados 9-12 para los estudiantes de habla hispana. En Español para Hispanohablantes 1, los estudiantes desarrollarán su comprensión auditiva, lectura, escritura y expresión oral. Además de estudiar la gramática, los estudiantes serán introducidos al arte y la literatura de la cultura hispana. Los estudiantes también desarrollarán su comprensión de las cuestiones socioeconómicas cambiantes que afectan a los países de habla hispana. En este curso, los estudiantes deben participar en diversas actividades retando su habla, escritura y comprensión auditiva. Se espera que los estudiantes colaboran con los compañeros de clase para crear, desarrollar y presentar proyectos asignados demostrando sus comprensión de la lengua.


Prerrequisitos: Entender y hablar español o cercano de la fluidez hablante nativo.
